Life is full of endless possibilities. Whether it’s learning a new skill, finding a new interest, or simply opening up to a different perspective on life. Trying something new can be the start of something good. Why not give Alpha a go this spring?

Alpha jumps into various topics of Christianity and what faith looks like in different people’s lives.

The best conversations are open, everyone’s thoughts are welcome, no matter your background or beliefs. We all bring different thoughts to the table, and at Alpha we want to create a space that’s open for everyone to find what faith means for them!

All on your terms. Alpha is a safe space, which means that you can decide whether to stay, go, share or just listen. We’d love to see you.

Alpha is running on Wednesday’s starting May 1st.

We have three courses running this term, daytime at St Marks, and in evenings at Danny & Jackie’s as well as at St Mark’s House.

What happens at Alpha?

Alpha is broken into three sections…

Food

We share some great food together. This gives everyone a great opportunity to get to know the others on the course.

Talks

The talks are designed to engage and inspire conversation, and are usually around 30 minutes long. They explore the big issues around faith and unpack the basics of Christianity, addressing questions from ‘Who is Jesus?’ and ‘How can we have faith?’, to ‘Why and how do I pray?’ and ‘How does God guide us?’

Discussion

Probably the most important part of Alpha; the discussion is the chance to share thoughts and ideas on the topic in a small, friendly group. There’s no obligation to say anything and there’s nothing you can’t say (seriously!) It’s an opportunity to hear from others and contribute your own thoughts in an honest, friendly and open environment.
